Howlin' Wolf 03:40
In the morning when I wake I put on my clothes and pick out a smile For the day when that sun does rise But until then I'm a howlin' wolf Why does that light fade away Truth be told I don't know I think I just went astray Luckily for me I can stand on my own With some help from a woman that I know I am to love you I am for you In the evening when I think I'm all alone that is my home where I am safe As time drags by and sleep comes on slow If I can hear your voice then I'm never alone I am to love you I am for you But until then I'm a howlin' wolf But until then I'm a howlin' wolf

So it Goes 02:13
Take a step back and look around Raise your voice and hear the sounds The world's coming to an end How did you live How did you live How did you live your life Bodies are dying on the floor And as we cringe to ourselves We close our eyes and walk away Take my hand honey dear Awkward moments are deep within my mind yes it's true Don't leave just yet it's far too cold outside And the world is closing, closing in time How did you live How did you live How did you live your life Bodies are dying on the floor And as we cringe to ourselves We close our eyes and walk away And it's okay so it goes It's okay so it goes Bodies are dying on the floor And as we cringe to ourselves We close our eyes and walk away

I'm moving along I'm moving at my own speed And everything I want Is everything I need As worlds collide I'm by your side I'm moving along Through the undertow And everything I've learned Is everything I know As worlds collide I'm by your side As worlds collide I'm by your side As worlds collide I'm by your side As worlds collide I'm by your side

Dandelion wine come on pass it around Cobblestones small sleepy towns Everybody's moving from the front to the back But I just feel like I'm last Dandelion wine come on pass it around Fahrenheit flames are burning the ground Everybody's moving from the back to the front But I just feel like I'm stuck But we could be free If we truly wanted to be We could be free If we truly wanted to be yeah Dandelion wine come on pass it around Soft rains cover the ground Everybody's moving from the left to the right But I just don't feel right But we could be free if we truly wanted to be We could be free If we truly wanted to be yeah Don't let yourself grow too old Let the wind be your breath 'Cause by the time your realize that you are alive inside Death is sitting on your front step Never stop to look behind at the mess you might have made 'Cause as you stand off to the side to catch your breath you realize Someone else just won your race Won your race
5.
Maybe it was wrong of me To run and hide the way I did Maybe it was wrong of you too Did you ever think of that You took so quickly into his arms That I bumped his shoulder walking out your door I'm truly sorry you returned my ring But don't you ever doubt that I gave you my whole heart And never doubt the things I told you 'bout the moon and the stars My love will remain In the valleys of Townshend and Newfane And all of the pain That I carry will fall with the rain And of all of the rain Will flood all of Townshend and Newfane

about

This EP was recorded in a handful of sessions throughout 2020. The songs contained herein were written between 2008 and 2014 and weren't originally planned for release together.

The pandemic provided the perfect opportunity to start chipping away at my growing catalog of songs that I hadn't done anything with. This EP was the end result.
